On April 12, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. there will be the grand opening of a new film series by the DEFA Foundation at the Kino Arsenal, Berlin including the premiere of "Verdammt ich bin erwachsen - Der DEFA-Regisseur Rolf Losansky".
The DEFA Foundation will start it’s monthly film series with the following double feature: Director Dagmar Seume portrays the successful DEFA director of children’s and adolescent movies, Rolf Losansky, in her documentary VERDAMMT ICH BIN ERWACHSEN – DER DEFA-REGISSEUR ROLF LOSANSKY (Germany 2009, premiere: april 12, guests: Dagmar Seume, Rolf Losansky). From 1963 on he directed more than 20 children’s and adolescent movies, which are now regarded as classics. Interviewing his fellows and colleagues, while simultaneously analyzing his movies and archival material, the documentary tries to depict a cohesive biography of the director.

The classic children’s movie MORITZ IN THE ADVERTISING PILLAR (Rolf Losansky, GDR 1983) will be screened afterwards.
